Halloween Weekend!!!!!

Wow, what an awesome weekend we had!!! It was my first Halloween with Andy and the kids and we definitely made the most of our weekend together! We started off the weekend on Thursday night with Disney on Ice that I shared in the last post. On Friday night we got to carve our pumpkins!!! Yay! We turned up some festive Halloween music and started carving! Ari had the biggest pumpkin! He was surprised that there was so much gooieness inside, it really did seem never ending! Ava chose a very detailed spider to trace onto her pumpkin, it took quite a while to get that one done :) They all turned out really spooky!

Ari's... Andy's... Ava's... Natalie's...

Saturday was awesome first of all because we got to sleep in! Finally!!! We all got up and ready and headed off to breakfast at Shari's :) YUM! We hadn't been there in foreveerrr! Then we took Ava to her hip hop class- that she is loving!! She got to wear her costume, all the kids looked so crazy :) Andy bought her a really cute red sweatshirt from the dance studio, it looks so cozy!

After that we hit the stores to find ingredients for chili, treats and some face paint! I spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen making some delicious chili for the church Halloween party. It was my first time making chili and it was actually pretty good!! Thank goodness! We roasted our pumpkin seeds and got creative by making some Frankenstein rice crispy treats or what Ava liked to call them "crispy-steins" :)

Saturday night we went to the church Halloween trunk or treat! They had a chili cook off, cake walk, costume contest and trick or treating out of decorated car trunks in the parking lot! :) The kids had a blast!!! Everyone looked sooooo good in their costumes!

Those two couldn't resist popping in the picture every time we tried to take a new one :) Whats new though! haha
