Creative Minds

A few weekends ago the kids and I found some free time on a Saturday and decided to put to use our right side of the brain! We found some canvas's and acrylic paint of mine and got to work! Although their eyes were lit up with excitement as they began to get started, they both had a very determined look while making their masterpieces :) I was very surprised to see what the two of them were creating!

I thought they would stick to the basics... maybe paint some flowers, trees or the usual drawings they color for us; but to my surprise they both painted very colorful abstract pieces that are now hanging in the family room :)

They were so happy with how their paintings turned out and so was I! There is nothing better than watching them express their creativity and seeing how proud they were in their smiling faces. I love my little painters :)
